Venus Retrograde: Return to Love

Dear Community,

Can you feel the shift? With the Fall Equinox just 1 week away, and the Venus Retrograde happening soon after… the leaves are turning yellow, the temperature is dropping, the Earth is moving slower as she prepares to Winter. Isn’t it beautiful when all of these powerful energies align?

What got me even more excited about the Divine Alignment about this upcoming journey with Venus, is that we are also currently in the middle of the Tz’ikin Trecena in the Mayan Calendar. If you aren’t familiar with the Mayan Calendar, a Trecena is a 13 day cycle, typically ruled and guided by a particular Nawal (energy). Tz’ikin is the Nawal of the Eagle. It is believed that Tz’ikin can bless our money and our honey’s… lol! But really, the Tz’ikin cycle is teaching us to tap into Love, and Abundance. Is it a coincidence that this cycle would happen right before the Venus Retrograde? Venus, also the ruler of our Money and Love… I think not! After all, the Mayan’s have a whole calendar system dedicated to Venus. This is how important her energy is to our Ancestors.

As I have begun connecting with the energies of Tz’ikin & Venus, also known as Mama Chaskas in the Q’ero lineage, a lot has come through that I couldn’t wait to share.

What’s coming up for me, is just how important and divinely timed this all is. Even though many times, Western Astrologers will scare us into holding our breaths through any retrograde, I think retrogrades are important pauses. So, the planets, and the Ancestors, are asking us to take a big exhale and pause, just as our Earth Mother takes her big pause this Fall. We are all being asked to slow down with her, to Connect and Listen….

We are invited by Venus and Tz’ikin to ask ourselves to look at our relationship with Love and Abundance.

Are we happy with the Life that we are co-creating with Spirit?

Are we creating our Abundance with Love? Love for ourselves, Love for our relationships, families, communities, and the entire Web of Life?

Are we tapped into the Abundance that we already have? Do we Love the Abundance that we’ve already created?

See this Retrograde is not a punishment. Moving slow doesn’t have to be a bad thing. It is a gift from the Universe, a space in time, where we can breathe and reflect on the different areas of our life, and ask ourselves, are we approaching these areas of our life with Love?
